"His songs are original, his humor intelligent,
and his charm effervescent."

So, the second part of the New York-London "Spring Tour" is going brilliantly well - I'm just back from the New York 'second-wave', this time playing two dates at the cool "Don't Tell Mama" venue deep in the theatre district next to Broadway! Just in time to rehearse for my next show at The Pheasantry in Chelsea next Thursday (April 26th).
"His improvisations are very funny, with amazing plot twists and character quirks. It’s a real thrill to see Michael Omer work the crowd and demonstrate his genius improvisational skills, musically and lyrically."
Times Square Chronicles, New York March 2012
"Don't Tell Mama" is a very different venue from The Metropolitan Room where I played my first two dates in February & March - there were some great reviews from those shows(see above and below!)
The whole cabaret scene in the city is very vibrant of course, and I was really pleased to meet lots of other performers and musicians, all of whom contribute to the whole community feel, and who made my visits really welcoming and fun!
"...a wonderful and varied evening,
with his own work and more..."

Audience reaction was great, especially in the final 'Micro Musical' improv segment, when I improvise an instant musical from audience suggestions!
I was very excited to welcome various celebs and performers - first on the list, legendary cabaret singer Steve Ross, who has been amazingly supportive ever since I decided I would like to get involved in the New York scene last year.

I was privileged to be part of the closing week of shows which Steve hosted at London's Pizza on the Park in 2010, and it has been my pleasure to see him perform at The Pheasantry in recent months. His support was very appreciated last Friday.
Also, at the first Don't Tell Mama show, I was very pleased to welcome Oscar winning actress Celeste Holm, who starred in numerous Hollywood movies of yesteryear, most notably perhaps, "All About Eve". She was gracious and kind to pose for this photo, and said "I enjoyed it very much!"

I must send thanks to Richard Ten Dyke, who gave his time to take some great photos - to Tanya Holt who manages The Metropolitan Room & Sidney Myer who manages Don't Tell Mama, for their help and enthusiasm - and most especially Robert Pincus, my New York agent. Robert has been an inspiration, and without his persistence, support and encouragement, none of this would have happened.
Robert is always keen to develop and manage cabaret performers, and would always be interested to hear from artists looking to increase their visibility in NYC:
